Being Religious Is More About Being Tolerant and Supportive...!

Adopting a religion is normally not your personal choice. You get born with a religion, because the family you are born into decides your religion. Of course, during the course of your life you can change your religion, but that belongs to an issue which is not the subject matter of this short piece.  No religion perhaps forces you to follow a rigorous course of daily rituals. Everything you prefer or not prefer to do is optional. You can be the most devoted person in your heart, but you may not actually do the external rituals at all. That is the beauty of almost all religions of the world.

After you are born into the family you are officially into a particular religion, and you are supposed to fall in line with the family preferences. If the members of your family or your wife desire you to do certain things along with them you should always be supportive of that. You should extend your full participation irrespective of what you actually feel in your heart. This can also be valid for various events or functions organised by your immediate neighborhood or the larger society. As far your inner intellect is concerned such participation does not in any way indicate the way you may think. Here the feeling of tolerance is of utmost importance.

The daily chores of life have almost nothing to do with your religion. You eat, sleep and enjoy at home just like human beings closeted by an inevitable existential thread. You go to work and behave to others just like human beings. In public transport you never bother about the faiths and beliefs of the commuters, you take them as fellow human beings. If offices too, you look at others from the point of view of ‘work’ only. You can go into any eatery and treat the sellers there as other human beings irrespective of what they believe in. There you can take your food as per your personal choice, not any other consideration. You can also refuse to go into an eatery based on your food choices only. Languages can also chosen as the medium to communicate between a group, there are no barriers of any kind that may prevent you from speaking a particular language, when your fellow human being doesn’t understand your language it’s a communication failure, not anything else.

There are also no bindings that prevent you from going to a particular place, let it be even a place of worship. You only find your fellow human beings there too, and it’s again your personal choice to participate or not in the devotional course of events.

Similarly, climate and personal choices decide the dress you prefer to wear. There is no other factor involved here, unless you’d want to impose some!

It all amounts to basically having a cup of tea. Tea is consumed worldwide irrespective of any barriers. It’s only the steaming tea inside the cup that interests you in having it, and you can fulfil your choice of that anywhere—office, home, streets, eateries or you name it. You never bother who provides you that cup of tea, only bother being that the quality should be good and inspiring! Same for a glass of water where even personal choice doesn’t come in, it’s always need based and compulsory.

Therefore, it’s always best to enjoy your glass of water or your steaming cup of tea to the fullest extent possible come what may!

Spirituality The Key: Positive Vibes

Spirituality is all about generating positive vibrations. This is the basic ground work you have to undertake for a spiritual existence. To generate positive vibes you have to think positive, you have to act positive and you have to talk positive. If your mind is full of negative thoughts it will reflect in everything you do including your aura becoming malicious and harmful.

Of course, negativity may invade you from others and from circumstances. But if you practice sincerely you will develop a defense shell around you that will thwart any negativity from any source. So many times you hear someone making an unnecessary negative statement like a particular flight or train getting delayed and if you do not counter it with your positive powers that particular flight or train invariably gets delayed without any reason. And mind you, you may be angry for righteous reasons. As long as you streamline your anger into constructive use your anger does not become a negative force. Anger is also energy and it depends on how you use it.

We live in the visible world; but the invisible world is more potent and immensely powerful. This is Nature which constantly tests your intensions and your sincerity. When you make negative remarks Nature sees to it that it happens and you suffer for it. If you have positive thoughts or remarks the positive energies of Nature get attracted and these come to your help. The benevolent energies keep on saving you on innumerable occasions that you may not even be aware of. On the contrary if you attract negative energies with your negativity these make you miserable.

You keep on getting countless messages from the cosmos and only with positive thinking powers you can decipher them. On many occasions you get gloomy and depressed without any reason and some gruesome accidents take place somewhere in the globe with many people getting killed that you may not notice. You mind frequency catches up signals for ominous events all the time. You only need to receive them with a trained mind and this training you can imbibe by being positive.

As you climb to higher planes with your positive thinking powers you can also interpret your dreams and use them too for your benefit. Through concentrative meditation you can develop your positive thinking powers.

So be positive. Always.

Spirituality The Key

You need to be spiritual to tap the immense power hidden in the numerous layers of your mind. These powers will lie unexploited if you don’t try. It’s not an inhuman task going about exercising spirituality. ‘Spirituality’ we talk here is not necessarily bound to religion.

The basic point is concentration. You must concentrate your mind on something or on nothing. The simplest way is to sit down, close your eyes and try making your mind or brain just blank—just don’t think about anything. How long you can stay on in this state of blankness is the test and the key to further development. Or you can concentrate on an object eyes shut or open and think nothing except about the object.

Mediation is primarily what is described above. But there are many theories and methods of meditation and you need an instructor to adopt a particular method. From a practical point of view you can do concentration exercises on own so that you join formal training at a much higher level. If you are gifted with a little intuition you are already there.

We are telling from an entirely practical experience. We have a spiritual guru whose name and details we cannot disclose now as he has not given permission for that. He has his guru at an elevated plane and permission is connected to that.

Our guru has practiced rigorous meditation for many years since his adolescence and has attained a divine fully conscious state where he can get constant messages from the cosmos. Without having formal training in a subject he can delve into the depth of it and teach you. He can tell you everything about your problems, past life and solutions. Of course, his solutions are not ready made that you can put or wear on. He initiates you into a process of purifying your mind and body. No negative thoughts, no criticisms of anybody and no negative utterances. On this point we will discuss in the next post.

Our guru tells us that reciting a hymn continuously creates energy and you have to utilize that energy to further your goals by taking a prior pledge. You can meditate by simply reciting the hymn continuously allotting a time slot, but in that the energy generated is lost. More on this when our guru gives his consent.

Meantime you can post your comments and narrate your problems, because sometimes seemingly nagging problems have obvious or very simple solutions.
